Some people say that the best time to go diving is from June to December, (the rainy season,) is the best time to go diving because the ripples in the water from the rain attracts manta rays and sharks.

One of the best dive sites to go to in Cocos is “Bajo Alcyone”, where there are dozens and dozens of manta rays and hammerhead sharks.

There are 20 dive sites in Cocos.

The best places to go diving of all are mostly 60 to 100 feet deep, although some are more shallow.

You should probably be a very experienced diver to go here, because the currents are medium or very strong so it’s harder to swim.

The recommended time to visit for is ten days, so if you can get through 2 or 3 different dive sites a day, you might get through all twenty, and possibly with enough time to redo some of your personal favorites on the last one or two days.

There is also a national park that you can visit on the island.

There are no hospitals or anything on Cocos island, so you have to guarantee yourself not to get injured diving there. But, there’s always a chance, so you have to be extra cautious.
